  1. Many wierd thing here…
But, really, the female wolf with the two eating kids is a classical image, over two thousand years old. It depicts Romulus and Remus being fed by the she-wolf. The kids were set out to die (common behavior before abotion took care of it) but survived by being fed by a wolf. That made them a bit wierd (read violent and hatedriven). Those boys are the ones said (according to myth) to have founded the Eternal City (Rome).
Perhaps a wierd tale but a very, very classical motif.

  2. The first picture is from Überlingen, at the Lake Constance in Germany. It is part of a larger group of statues which depict the story of a man who rid on a horse across the frozen lake without knowing he was riding over water.
The statues actually belong to a well.

  3. The image of the statue of LaTrobe has been Photoshopped. That statue is very much standing the right way up in real life.
